Program & Project Management

 

Program management or programme management is the process of managing several related projects, with the intention of improving delivery performance.The Program Manager has oversight of the purpose and status of all projects in a Program and can use this oversight to support project-level activity to ensure the overall program goals are likely to be met, possibly by providing a decision-making capacity that cannot be achieved at project level or by providing the Project Manager with a program perspective when required, or as a sounding board for ideas and approaches to solving project issues that have program impacts. The Program manager may be well placed to provide this insight by actively seeking out such information from the Project Managers although in large and/or complex projects, a specific role may be required.

Strategy & Technology Roadmaps

 

A technology roadmap is a plan that matches short-term and long-term goals with specific technology solutions to help meet those goals. It is a plan that applies to a new product or process, or to an emerging technology. Developing a roadmap has three major uses. (i) It helps reach a consensus about a set of needs and the technologies required to satisfy those needs; (ii) it provides a mechanism to help forecast technology developments and (iii) it provides a framework to help plan and coordinate technology developments.

 

The role of product managers in the product software development cycle indicates that software is becoming more commercialized and used as a standard product. This manager is responsible over the whole line of software requirement management, defining of products and their releases and this with all internal and external stakeholders involved.

 

With exposure to market and technology trends and awareness, I am able to assist product management in the strategic positioning of new products on the technology roadmap evolution of the IT and media industry.

 

Solution Architecture

 

A Solutions Architect requires the knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. An effective Solutions Architect must have experience on multiple Hardware and Software Environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments. The Solutions Architect is a highly seasoned senior technocrat who has led multiple projects through the Software development process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and has usually performed in a variety of different roles in that life cycle. He must be able to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources.

 

I have functioned in the multimedia environment as technical lead and developer/architect, and am comfortable in highly technical environments to assist in the integration of your media projects.

Digital Home, Multiscreen & OTT

 

From smartphones and tablets to laptops and television, 90% of all media interactions today are screen-based. But the predictions of a broadcast demise, caused by multiscreen, have been exaggerated. Consumers are increasing their viewing experience with alternative online offerings such as YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu.


As it is, TV no longer commands our full attenton as it has become one of the most common devices that is used simultaneously with other screens.
Multiple screens make us feel more efficient because we can act spontaneously and get a sense of accomplishment, this results in a feeling of comfort and satisfaction.

 

However, with the revolution of the "Smart Digital Home", media entertainment and other home devices will intersect and co-operate to a much larger extent than previous, incorporating and number of "next generation living" solutions.

 

With experience in integrating and developing next generation media solutions, I can assist in positioning and advising product roadmap and features for the "in-home" digital convergance including home security, power metering, content exchange and sharing and media delivery to multiple devices in your customer's home.

 

Product Positioning & Marketing

 

Product positioning is an important element of a marketing plan. Product positioning is the process marketers use to determine how to best communicate their products' attributes to their target customers based on customer needs, competitive pressures, available communication channels and carefully crafted key messages. Effective product positioning ensures that marketing messages resonate with target consumers and compel them to take action.


Marketing messaging and positioning have a lot in common as it intersects around the value propisition for the product by highlighting: (i) positioning against a Competitor, (ii) differentiation away from a competitor, (iii) product benefits, (iv) product attributes and values, (v) product categories being addressed and (vi) end user usage.
